The reckless fire of bottomless eyes —
A fee bestowed on me from skies —
Burns in my heart throughout the night.
Though you are distant, cherry-sight
Forever gazes upon me,
In pitch-black gloom, in daylight's glee.
With an obsessive dream I stray,
My fleeting lashes I'll close away,
In the brief moment of eclipse
You appear. You are my spring,
The source of inspiration's life,
The world without you is like strife.
Rhythmically, like blank verse lines,
The sea of your eyes wildly shines,
Now frowning with a dark wild hue,
Now with a pure dawn's sunny view
They shimmer and they interplay.
Within the pupils, lights betray.
A sly reflection of far stars,
Unreal, solitary, bizarre,
It plays, with sparkles swirling round,
Cunningly casting spells profound.
It boldly casts a spell's embrace,
Takes captive skillfully with grace.
I adore the cherry blossom's shade,
The parity of fire and glade.
Paganism in eyes allures,
The depth entices, and assures.
To a bright idol I pray —
I fear the glow will fade away.
Let our happiness extend,
With it, life's richer to the end.
Your eyes — a moment of collapse,
Ecstasy, passion's honeyed laps,
They are my gratitude, my due,
My soul grown cold, made fresh and new.
